| Miserable Movie

| I can't imagine why anyone
would think this is a good movie. Well, actually the acting
was okay. That may be it. The movie was amateurish at best.
The plot was non-existent. And, without the cursing, the actors
wouldn't have been speaking - so you can't really ignore the
vulgarity. I would love to summarize the movie, but since it
has no plot this borders on impossible. It would probably appeal
mostly to an under 30 crowd. The best possible audience would
include people who can readily identify with the following terms:
Pookie, 40 ounce, my baby's daddy, and "livin n the projects".
Otherwise, you'll be sorely disappointed. I would be impressed
with this movie if I had thought college students on a budget
produced it. Then I could understand the vulgarity, lack of
plot, close to porn, and loose moral concept. But, now that
I think about it, I'm not even sure this would have emerged
with them. I think the actors would have done better to pick
another movie to display their acting abilities. And, there
was some good acting. I think this will be my last John Singleton
movie. I expect more from a producer or director over time and
he actually shows no growth. I no longer support movies, "simply
because they're black", I now expect them to be good also.
Beyond the acting, this movie has no redeeming quality. But,...
as a "B flick",...no this movie still has no redeeming
qualities. |

This has to be one of the best 'gangsta' oriented movies
for 2001. The cursing just could not take away from the movie.
As long that you are not offended by the cursing and the
sex scenes you will definately like this movie.

| If you are bored and have nothing
else to do.....then you could watch this movie. IT's not that
it was incredibly bad, but it is no different from soooooooo
many other movies that has come out. After all the hype about
this movie, I had great expectations...but I was let down-there
is NOTHING spectacular about this movie...Read a book instead. |
