Great movie for
ALL ages |
After spending 2 hrs in line, along with everyone to get
Fast & Furious tickets, I finally got to the window and asked
for my 2 Shrek tickets.
Shrek is clearly the BEST movie I've seen for the year.
There are some jokes for the adults and loads for the kids.
I found myself laughing non-stop.
I liked it so much that I bought the DVD (which is supposed
to have different endings).
It's the most technically perfect computer animation I've
ever seen... even better than Ants. Very good story line with
some twists in it, and that ass (literally) Eddie Murphy was
hilarious. Combine this with a bit of Matrix-esque action,
and you've got a #1 movie.

Best Comedy of
the Year - no doubt! |
I have not laughed so much in a long time, and not just a
sneaky titter so as not to be heard, but actual guffaws of
laughter and giggling fits which just wouldn't quit. By far
the best movie Eddie Murphy has done in a long time, making
the comedy team with Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz one not to
miss. The characters are loveable and well done (ie. drawn/created)
so a great movie for kids too, but the script writing and
humour is definitely directed to the adults in the audience.
A must see for everyone, from Granny and Granddad to Junior!
I've seen it twice and will be back for more.
Enjoy!

Funny...Slightly
adult humour though |
This movie was a refreshing
break from the plethora of samey samey action movies that populated
the cinemas recently. It is a very funny movie although the
majority of the humour is for adults (given that the voices
of the two main characters are Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy what
can one expect). The message in the story however is the high
feature of the movie. It does not have the usual fairy tale
ending. A refreshing change. |
