| "A man can change his
stars" or in other words pick your own destiny. The main
point of this story. Three guys who dare to be more than they
are. It was a solid plot be that in way taken from a book "The
Canterbury Tales," this is the story of William, a young squire
with a gift for jousting. Sexy and charismatic charters but
still modern day values to be learned. The distressing part
for me was the "naked writer" friend and the fact
that William wanted the narrow minded Lady and not the hott
blacksmith chick. |

| This movie takes the medieval
"sport" of jousting and puts a modern, if not predictable twist
on it. From the "We Will Rock You" chanting of the jousting
spectators, to the semi-hip hop improvisational ballroom dancing,
you wonder exactly what time period the movie is supposed to
be set in. But never the less it still shine thru. The story
is of a boy that was giving into a knight's service by his father
to be the knight's servant. This knight was a champion jouster
and the young boy trained and learned to joust from the knight.
Then one day during a tournament, the knight dies between rounds
and the young boy (now a man) takes his place hiding his identity
because only nobles (those of royal lineage) are allowed in
the comp. The movie then revolves are the young man becoming
a jousting champion with fraudulent documents as his proof of
nobility. There is the usual love story and big bad guy thrown
in for good measure, but the movie has alot of positive messages
in it. |
