 I
am happy to report that my day went very well. From the word
go the car performed without any problems whatsoever. My day
was filled with a lot of keen competition between Sammy Cumberbatch
and myself. We swapped times all day being only milliseconds
within reach of each other. All the stages were very exciting,
although some a little shorter than others still kept me very
busy. The battle between us went down to the end. At Luke Hill
I was only a few seconds ahead of Sammy and here is where his
accelerator cable broke. I was able to beat him in the next
stage and it would have infact been very close. This kind of
competition is good for any competitor, especially when you
come out the victor. But I must say Sammy made the day very
exciting for me, constantly keeping me on my toes. All in all
I have been doing a lot of  development
on the car and it is definitely paying off. The car has now
become more reliable which is what we needed to accomplish.
I would like to thank my sponsors Nescafe, Philips Lighting,
Castrol and Crane and Equipment. Also I would like to thank
all the Marshals for doing such a good job and standing in the
hot sun, and most of all thank my wife and fans who help give
me the inspiration to drive.
